Attractive & unobtrusive way of denoting boundaries
Generally used at lower heights, around 900mm - 1200mm pickets or railings are generally used to the front of properties, where you wish to define your boundaries but have no great security concerns. However a full range of sizes is available (up to 1800mm).
Other popular uses are making small 'penned' areas for smaller pets, or for access restriction e.g. fencing around a pond or pool to stop young children wandering over to and possibly falling in.
Pickets would refer to the timber style fencing you can see on this page, treated timber panels are installed on treated timber posts, witht he posts being finished with a post cap.
All timber, unless otherwise stated, is treated with Tanilth E, to ensure longevity.
From a google AI overview;
'Tanalith E is a popular, water-based wood preservative used in industrial pressure treatment to protect timber from rot, fungi, and insects, making it durable for outdoor uses like decking, fencing, and construction by penetrating deep into the wood with copper and azole fungicides, resulting in long-lasting, often greenish-tinted, "Tanalised" timber. This treatment process involves vacuum and pressure to ensure deep chemical absorption, enhancing wood's resistance to decay and weathering for various applications, including in-ground contact.'
Railings refers to the metal products shown on this page, a range of colours and styles are available. The railings shown are supplied by Colourfence.
